Notice: Please do not use for Hitbox

If you desire to convert an existing 5-pin based Fightstick to Hitbox, or want to use our 20-Pin Joystick/Button Harness with JLF attachment to build a Hitbox, then please choose 5-Pin HitBox Conversion Harness.

The .187" to 5-pin conversion harness allows you to install a fasten-type microswitch-based joystick - such as the Crown 303-FK, 303-N, or Sanwa JLF-TRG-8YTH.SK Silent Microswitch Joystick - to a Sanwa JLF-H type harness for use in commercial joysticks such as the Madcatz TE or QanBa Q4RAF.

Unlike the Sanwa JLF or Seimitsu LS-X-01 series joysticks which use a 5-pin harness to connect to the joystick motherboard, fasten-type joysticks uses a .187" connection for each microswitch - one for each directional control signals, and one for ground.  The conversion harness allows you to convert the .187" signal and ground to the 5-pin interface of most commercial and some prebuilt custom joysticks which use the Sanwa JLF-H harness.

Installing Conversion Harness into QanBa Q4RAF/Eightarc Fusion

The Qanba Q4RAF and Eightarc Fusion or Synthesis Fightstick uses a different wiring configuration and color scheme than default Sanwa joysticks and JLF-H harness.  To help you properly install the Crown 303-FK using the conversion harness, we created a handy guide.  You can view it in the product photo gallery, or download a PDF version

    2. Works as described

I used this product to install a happ joystick into my Arcade 1up Streetfighter cab. The Happ joystick was also purchased from this site. Product works as described. You do have to make sure the wiring is in its correct place or it will not work. on Sep 17th 2023

    3. Exactly what I needed for Happ Joysticks

I have a Mortal Kombat 30th anniversary edition arcade1up and wanted to install Happ Joysticks in it. Those are the original sticks used in all MK cabs in the 90's. I originally decided to replace the stock arcade1up sticks with Genuine Sanwa's, which came with a custom 5 pin female connector which was custom made for arcade1up hookups on one end and the other was 5 pin for Sanwa. Since I already had this I got the idea to get this .187 to 5 pin conversion harness to hook to the Sanwa Harness for ease and convenience. The end of this harness is male and hooks perfectly to the Sanwa Harness. This worked absolutely perfect! The only problem I had was the wiring diagram on here is for something other than what I used it for. The colors on this harness line up exactly with the colors on the Sanwa harness. After I figured out which wire is for which direction it was incredibly easy. Shipping was also pretty fast. Thanks Focus Attack! on Sep 9th 2023

    7. Two stars because it works

Update from FA: Please review photos for installation, as the ground wire is sized to wrap around the lever. From reviews, we have not received installation issues from the QCDs, but will monitor reports from future purchases.
      ---
The ground wire is too short and the quick disconnects need to be pried open with a flathead in order to be removed. The "latch" on them is not enough to release the quick disconnect. I recommend you start following Etokki's standard on quick disconnects.
