The 2lb tension spring for Sanwa JLF replaces the existing spring found in the Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT Joystick, or Sanwa JLF-TPRG-8AYT-SK Silent Microswitch Joystick, adding 1.1lb more force than the original. This results in a stiffer joystick, which is favored amongst some players who don't like the loose feel of the JLF. Using this spring, you no longer have to combine the original with a LS-32 to achieve the same level of tension.

Save when bundled with Sanwa JLF, FA Nippon ALU products

Now you can save 35 cents on the 2lb JLF spring when you bundle it with the Sanwa JLF-TP-8YT JoystickSanwa JLF-TPRG-8AYT-SK Silent Microswitch Joystick, Sanwa JLF-TP-8Y-SK Joystick (No Plate Installed) or FA Nippon ALU battops.  Just choose "Add 2lb JLF Tension Spring" from listing options.

    1. The best. Buy a few tho and replace

      These springs are perfect.

They're only a little stiffer than the default Sanwa spring, maybe a more noticable change if you're spring is a little old, but this is the ideal level of tension for me. I had thought the 4lb would be ideal but felt really slow for inputs given how much effort they take to move. These are stuff but not slow.

However because these are so close to the default Sanwa springs I feel that after about 3-4 months of heavy play they get pretty close to regular default spring tension and I really notice a difference if I replace them again. It's nice I don't feel like I need to break these in ever, but just know they're best when fresh.

Thankfully they're really affordable so even if you go all out and swap them out every 4 months its only like 5 bucks a year.

Highly recommend this weight. Do yourself a favor and get a few.

    2. Right amount of tension

Perfect amount of tension for my big hands. Threw this on a Hayabusa lever along with a Kowal oversized actuator and I'm in heaven. on Jul 8th 2020

    3. Adds tension, doesn't interfere

I've felt normal JLFs were a little loose, so I ordered the 2lb spring. There's noticeably more tension, but not to the point where you're thinking about it / working harder to move the stick. If you want a stiffer "feel" without having to muscle the stick around this is a good srping choice. on Jul 3rd 2020

    4. All of the feels

You notice the difference, especially if you put the spring in yourself for the first time. I will be buying another one for my other sticks. on Jun 11th 2020

    5. 2lb Tension Spring review

The tension spring is a great mod to make your arcade stick feel tighter. on May 4th 2020

    6. needed for heavy joysticks

fixed my problem of accidental inputs if a release the stick while in position. might even get a stronger spring. good product. on Apr 29th 2020

    7. Sturdy and tight.

Definitely can feel the resistance with this one. It's just about right if you have strong hands/wrists. Not recommend for people with a light touch. Make sure you watch a tutorial on removing the old spring. on Apr 27th 2020

    8. American Styled weight for the JLF!

If you want some extra tension similar to an American stick that was its spring broken in for smoothness. This is the product you'll like! Unless you want that American P360 feeling, consider the 4LB! on Apr 1st 2020

    9. Great for Arcade1up

Replaces the stock springs in my Marvel Super Heroes Special Edition with these and they feel great. Highly recommended. on Feb 4th 2020

    10. Just what my arcade needed!

This spring made a good noticeable impact on the operation of my arcade controller. It is slightly stiffer, but not so much that it tires the players hand. I thought about the 4lb spring but opted to err on the cautious side and I'm glad that I did. I imagine 4lbs would feel 2x as heavy and that would be just too much for fighting games and the like.

As always, great quality product and speedy shipping from FocusAttack. I'm very pleased and will (as always) remain a loyal customer! Thanks!
